- The DUI laws are about as opaque as dish water. It is up to the discretion of the policeman and people with a lot to lose often beat the wrap. Like family men or professionals well regarded in the community. Third class individuals typically have no chance even if they pass field sobriety.

- The media needs to report the facts. I don't need to hear about some anonymous source reporting hearsay. I understand the people of Boston are on edge but the media is a important conduit to the public and admitting they don't have sound information is better than reporting something fictitious.

- I assume most kids don't realize people are going to throw words at them for their entire life. This is a unfortunate story and he must have felt some isolation. I feel empathy for the family.

- I call BS. Just more politicians looking for someone to blame. I'm not saying it is right but inmates don't generally do the full time they are sentenced to. States often cannot afford to keep them locked up and they get cut loose. It has been happening for decades.
